The deposit is one month's rent, due at contract signing. It is held in a government-backed Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) and returned at the end of your tenancy, provided the property is in its original condition.
The £250 holding fee secures the room for you. It is not an extra charge. It counts towards your total deposit. Once paid, the property is taken off the market. Note: this fee is non-refundable if you cancel.
